I thought that the presentation went quite well. I was nervous when I stood in front of the class, but my classmates said it didn't show. I wrote the following summary about the feedback I got in class:
"The feedback I got mostly, was about the pictures I used in my presentation. The comment on these pictures was that most people in my class found them too shocking, distracting or non-related to the subject. That was actually what my presentation was about, it was about picking the right visuals for your PowerPoint. It did teach me that you should choose a picture carefully though, because if the visual you use takes too much attention, you will not get the full attention of your audience. I also used the sentence ‘those kind of things’ too often and I often filled the gaps with ‘uhm’. I will think of that the next time as this is something you do not hear yourself saying. The structure of my presentation was good, according to most classmates, and I spoke clearly and freely. That gives me confidence, it tells me that, even though I was nervous, that did not show."
I definitely learned from this presentation to take good care of how you make your slides. They shouldn't be too distracting as your audience won't pay any attention to what you are saying anymore.
